Resources: The Power of the Holy Spirit

Jesus secured our redemption, and the Holy Spirit applies that redemption in our lives. Having accomplished all the Father had given him to do, Jesus returned to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father until He comes back to judge mankind and establish his eternal kingdom. However, in the meantime, He did not leave us on our own - as promised, the Holy Spirit was sent to help us establish the church and carry on all that Jesus had initiated on earth. The Spirit glorifies Jesus and applies all the benefits of His life, death, resurrection, and ascension in the lives of believers. In terms of discipleship, the Holy Spirit works to make people holy. He brings us to salvation and then conforms us to His likeness.

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you."

- John 14:26 -

Life with the Holy Spirit

These resources will help provide a better understanding of the Holy Spirit and what His role should be in our lives.

I'm Getting Better

In this message from 2020, Carl Lentz shares about the power of the Holy Spirit. He addresses our desire to "want to get better" and how the Holy Spirit is the One to help with that. He articulates why it's so important that we understand, lean on and yield to the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives. When we learn to live this way, we see our lives transform and we find that we can "get better".

What is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

In a sermon given at  Lakepointe Church, Josh Howerton walks through an important message about what the baptism of the Holy Spirit really is. This is a topic that is often confusing for people and he addresses what it means by walking through scripture.

What it Looks Like to Be Full of God's Power

In this sermon message "What does it look like to be full of God's power", Josh Howerton looks at the life of Stephen to better understand what it means to be full of the Spirit and how that might look in our lives today.

Flip The Switch: FruitFull

To walk in the fruit of the Spirit can only happen when we walk in Spirit-control instead of sin-control. In this message originally given at Transformation Church, Mike Todd encourages people to recognize the very real battle we face every day and to make decisions that feed the spirit, not the flesh.
