Resources: Making Disciples
Making disciples was Jesus' Plan A for the Church and is a command He gave to all believers. As you become a disciple of Jesus, you begin to better understand what it is He has called us to through the Great Commission. The mission has not changed since He gave instructions to His disciples over 2000 years ago, so these resources are intended to encourage you in these efforts.

"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
- Matthew 28:18-20 -
Running with the Great Commission
These resources will help provide a better understanding of our calling in the Great Commission and how you can actively engage in it today.
Building a Discipling Culture
In his book, Building a Discipling Culture, Mike Breen discusses how he believes we are in the midst of a discipleship crisis in the Western church. He makes the case that often people sitting in our pews are rarely becoming like the people we read about in Scripture and that if we make disciples like Jesus made them, well never have a problem finding leaders or seeing new people coming to faith.
Radical
In Radical, David Platt focuses on the discrepancy between Jesus' Great Commission and the great American spin on (or hypocrisy in) Christianity. He challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated the gospel to fit our cultural preferences. He shows what Jesus actually said about being his disciple--then invites you to believe and obey what you have heard.
